We have been breeders and exhibitors of Great Danes since 1977, specializing in fawns and brindles. Our names are Mel and Janie Pronto. We live in Powhatan,Virginia, which is on the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia. We have been members for many years of the Great Dane Club of America, the Great Dane Club of Metropolitan Washington, the Virginia Kennel Club, and the Virginia Federation of Kennel Clubs and Dog Breeders.

When we breed a litter, it is to add a new family member to our family and possibly yours. We breed for health, temperament and beauty. We require that every puppy that is born in our house have the opportunity to spend their entire lives as an important family member, be it in our family or yours. Please check out a sample of our purchase agreement and guarantee and guidelines that we have put together for the proper care of our puppies.

If you think you are deserving of the love, devotion, companionship and just plain joy that one of our puppies will give you for his or her entire life or just want to talk dogs, please contact us by any of the methods listed below. IN LOVING MEMORY, UKC BIS Ch. Nuttree's O'Mallory, March 17, 2006 - July 21, 2018 (Ch. Anandane's Top of the Charts x Ch. Nuttree's Sydney). Mallory was the only girl in a litter of six so of course, she joined the Nuttree's family. She is an incredibly happy fun loving dog and as such is a wonderful show dog. On April 19, 2009, Mallory completed her requirements for a UKC championship handled by her dad and that same day went on to win the Guardian Group and was also awarded BEST IN SHOW!!! The proud mom of 3 AKC Champions! She was our faithful companion and a true representative of the spirit of the Great Dane. She will be sorely missed and will always have a big part of our hearts. AKC BRONZE GRAND Ch./UKC Ch. Nuttree's Sloe Gin Fizz AOMx3 aka Ginny

born April 15, 2011 (Ch. Lyonheart's Royal Guardsman x UKC BIS Ch. Nuttree's O'Mallory) Ginny completed her UKC championship requirements in two weekends AND on July 30, 2012, Ginny completes her AKC championsip requirements with three majors!!! Ginny was shown a total of 14 times at AKC shows and was Winners Bitch at 7 of them and Reserve at 6 shows. Ginny has also completed her requirements and was awarded an AKC Grand Championship on May 25, 2014, and is currently working on attaining her bronze Grand Championship. Ginny completed the requirements for her Bronze Grand Championship August 2018. Her first debut as a veteran at the Great Dane Club of Metropolitan Specialities July, 2018 garnered her two Best Veteran in Show and an Award of Merit!
