OUR HISTORY AND A MEMORIAL TRIBUTE

We thank you for taking the time to stop by our history page. This page is a memorial dedicated to the dogs who were our valued family members and to those who were an important part of our breeding program, made it possible for us to have the dogs that we have today. Each breeding that we have done was done with our ideal great dane in mind, that is: a dog that is sound in body and mind and possesses the beauty that the breed is known for. We have always and will always look to improve with each successive generation. Since there are many pictures on this page, we have used the thumbnail format for quick loading. OUR FIRST DANE - LADY JUNIPER OF NUTTREE (1977 - 1988)

Although Juniper was never bred, she was a great influence on the path that our lives would take in later years. She taught us a lot about raising a puppy (sometimes we didn't learn quick enough), and she was a very important part of our lives for 11 years.
Cause of Death: Malignant jaw tumor.

Cedar was bred by Jim and Darlene Armstrong. He was bred to our foundation bitch, Ch. Von Shrado's Serenade twice and is the sire of Nuttree's Cypress and Nuttree's Poplar.

Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
